Bells Of Ireland

Moluccella laevis (70 days)

A summer flowering annual, native to Turkey, Syria and the Caucasus.  In the language of flowers, it represents luck.  Floral spikes are comprised of tiny white flowers surrounded by apple green calyces.  The rounded leaves are chartreuse green.  Fast growing; it will reach 3 feet and spread out with an erect, branching habit.  A member of the mint family, the blooming stems can be cut and used in fresh or dried flower arrangements.  Bells of Ireland is self-seeding, prefers full sun and wants regular water.  Beware of spines!
