Growing Tips for Root Vegetables
Root Vegetables:
Direct sow into fertile moist soil, planting seed twice as deep as it is long. Keep well watered until emergence occurs. Thin when they have 2-3 true leaves. Plant in early spring as they can withstand light frost. Keep moist as it germinates. Watch for gophers! Practice good crop rotation to avoid wire worms. Late summer planting ensure a good fall crop
