Boneset, Eupatorium perfoliatum
A beautiful herbaceous perennial, native to Eastern North America in the Asteraceae family. The plant has serrated, opposite leaves along a hairy stem topped with delicate small white flowers that bloom late spring to summer. Quite a nice addition to landscaping due to its clumping nature. An excellent pollinator plant for butterflies, with some deer resistant as well. Boneset has a rich history in Indigenous herbal medicine. Prefers full sun but tolerates partial shade, grows well in moist locations between 2-4’ tall.
