Poppy, Black Swan 

Papaver somniferum

A rich, intriguing, Syrah-colored poppy with crinkled, finely cut petals.  Sear stem ends to extend vase-life as cut flowers or use highly ornamental seed pods in fresh or dried arrangements.  Or, just enjoy this remarkable late Spring flower in the garden when little else is blooming yet.  Self-sows.  Grows to 48" in full sun.  Space 9" apart. SSF.
