A no fuss garden, planned and thoughtfully timed by our team.
When you join the Homestead Seed CSA, you become part of a community of growers and seed stewards who share a passion for growing, preserving, and celebrating seed diversity.
What's Included in the Homestead CSA
Beginning in early February, your membership includes:
Five seasonal shipments from February until May filled with open-pollinated, organic seeds selected for the right planting windows throughout the year. Plus an extra shipment in October with a 1/2lb garlic and a 1lb of cover crop!
Seeds for continuous harvests. Stay on top of succession planting for crops like peas, beans, lettuce, and cilantro so you can enjoy a steady supply throughout the growing season.
Seeds for a successful fall and winter garden. We'll send you the right varieties at the right time to get fall roots, cabbages, garlic, favas, and other cool-season crops started. Did you know that much of the fall garden is actually planted in July and August? With proper timing, these crops can feed you through the winter and into mid-spring.
Growing tips and instructions with each shipment to help you know what to plant and when.
Members-only seed varieties that aren't available through our regular website. These may include rare and limited-quantity seeds, unreleased varieties, and exciting projects from our ongoing breeding program. Think of it as an exclusive opportunity to try seeds before they're officially released!
How It Works & Why Join?
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a model that connects people more directly with the farms and farmers who grow their food. Members invest early in the season, helping farmers cover essential startup costs and plan for the year ahead. In return, they receive a share of the harvest throughout the season.
The Homestead Seed CSA brings this same spirit of community support to seeds. By joining our Seed CSA program, you're not just purchasing seeds. You're supporting independent seed growers, helping preserve and expand seed diversity, and becoming part of a community dedicated to growing the future of seeds.
