The legendary Jersey tomato, introduced in 1934, is a cross between J.T.D. (an old New Jersey variety from the Campbell Soup Co.) and Marglobe. Bred to be a true workhorse variety in a time when 36,000 acres of tomatoes were being grown in the Garden State! It is a very dependable, smooth skinned, medium sized, red slicer with good crack and disease resistance. Tall vines, Fusarium resistance. Indeterminate.
