Seven Seeds Farm
Beans, Tuscany Pole (95 days) Phaseolus vulgaris
We obtained this lovely round pole bean at a seed swap and upon further research it is also being stewarded by our friends at Uprising Seeds as “Annie Jackson”, an heirloom from Russia, via Manitoba, Canada. That’s one of the funny things about heirlooms is that as they pass from hand to hand over the years their stories are augmented, and braided with one another and can change. Anyhow the seeds we have are identical in every respect to the Annie Jackson strain. Pretty dry beans are somewhat roundish, shiny creamy white and burgundy much like the black and white pattern on Calypso/Orca beans. We found that it was able to grow fairly well up corn as a support. SSF.
