SHALLOTS, Bonjour (100 days from trans- plant)

Allium cepa

While most folks grow shallots from sets, planting them in the Fall, they are increasingly grown from seed, planted in the spring. This is a more cost-ef- fective options compared with the investment in sets for planting stock and the yield can be equally impressive. Bon Jour is a pretty rosy pink-skinned, long-storing shallot with a teardrop shape. Grow like you would onions. It is possible to save some of your harvest from replanting in the Fall as you would with sets.

Packet:  .5g. ≈ 100 seeds
